Dei recently moved from the GTA and is enjoying what Niagara has to offer. As a people person with extensive knowledge and firm pressure in her treatments, Dei's schedule is filling up with regular clientele. Dei incorporates many different techniques into her treatment including cupping when indicated. She also emphasizes client self- awareness and homecare to help the client achieve their goals towards optimal health and well-being.ĭei offers many years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist. Rachel crafts each treatment for the specific needs of the client. Now she's a seasoned therapist with many modalities incorporated into her treatments, including: myofascial release, acupressure, hot stone massage, trigger points and knowledge of body mechanics from years of dance training. This healing journey began with Reiki in 1996, when as a new mother the gentle healing energy was always on hand and led her to become a Reiki Master in 2000. Some of these advanced techniques include Matrix Repatterning, Graston Technique,Acutonics, sport taping, nerve flossing and Trigenics.Ĭurrently she also enjoys teaching and presenting seminars for some of the techniques she incorporates into her treatments.Īn RMT since 2010, Rachel is committed to helping clients feel better. Treatment techniques used include: craniosacral and visceral manipulation, muscle energy techniques, fascial stretching, soft-tissue release, passive vertebral mobilizations, and balanced ligamentous and membrane tension techniques.Ĭherie graduated from Sutherland-Chan Massage Therapy School and Teaching Clinic in 1999, her passion and curiosity for healing has led her to take many other courses.Each new technique she learns changes her approach to assessment and treatment of dysfunction within the body. Her treatment style involves treating the body as a whole, to ensure the cause of the pain is identified and solved. Sonya's treatment focus is to provide accessible, safe and effective holistic osteopathic manual therapy services to all residents of the Niagara Region. She completed her Osteopathic Manual Practitioner's diploma with the Canadian College of Osteopathy (2020), a diploma in Manual Massage Therapy from the Ontario College of Health and Technology (2016) and undergraduate Kinesiology degree from the University of Waterloo (2014). Sonya holds multiple degrees, diplomas, licenses, and certificates in various health fields which gives her a broad experience and understanding for treatment. Sonya is locally grown in Niagara Falls and has been involved in health care for several years, ranging from personal training and nutrition counseling to now focusing on osteopathic manual therapy and injury rehabilitation. She is passionate about good health and living a good life, and believes everyone should be proactive in the maintenance of their own good health and prevention of illness. Hot Stone Massage, Thermal Palms, Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy, Lymphatic Drainage are just some of the courses taken that have expanded her techniques and knowledge. She continues her education regularly and over the years has learned many types of massage therapy to help her clients. Without a doubt regular massage therapy treatments keeps her clients healthier and with less pain and stress. She enjoys hands on body work and continues to see how Massage Therapy positively influences the lives of her clientele.
